At the Musea Zutphen you will find two museums under the same roof: the cultural-historical museum Stedelijk Museum Zutphen and Museum Henriette Polak, a museum for modern art. A unique combination of local heritage and art.
The Musea Zutphen are located in the 17th-century city palace Hof van Heeckeren, across the Walburgis church. History, cultural history, visual arts and topical matters meet here in a surprising way.
Pass through the ‘Schelpenpoort’ (Shell Arch): dating from 1697, decorated with 10.000 shells, molten glass and sintered stones, it is a magical entrance to the Museum garden. On your right, you’ll find the Orangery with the entrance to the Musea Zutphen and the museum shop; turn left for refreshments at the Museum café.
